The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leigertwood shoots in for a takedown but Berzins shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Berzins connects with a single shot there.
Berzins connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Dexter Leigertwood has been cut.
Leigertwood tries to clinch up

and Berzins counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
A left hand lands to the body for Berzins.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Berzins lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Leigertwood backwards.

Leigertwood jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Berzins walks away with a smile on his face. Leigertwood gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Leigertwood tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Berzins counters with a left and a right... And another left! Leigertwood is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
