Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Flare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manvel Gamburyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gamburyan has chosen Gamburyan vs. Brown on April 24th as his entrance music. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 28 - 0, fighting out of London, John Flare! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 21 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Manvel Gamburyan! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flare leaves Gamburyan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Manvel Gamburyan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gamburyan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gamburyan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gamburyan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Gamburyan working the ground and pound. Flare is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gamburyan's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Gamburyan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Gamburyan is looking for a kimura here.

Flare preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Flare tries to roll over but Gamburyan keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flare is defending against the submission attempts here by Gamburyan.
Gamburyan is figuring out what he wants to do next. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gamburyan connects with a nice short shot to Flare's temple. Ground and pound from Gamburyan. Gamburyan seems to be working for a kimura but Flare defends the submission attempt. Gamburyan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Flare is trying to get back to full guard. Gamburyan controlling the pace. Gamburyan working over Flare with some ground and pound. Flare looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gamburyan wants to free his trapped foot but Flare is holding on for dear life with his legs. Gamburyan trying to control the pace. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gamburyan lands a nice short elbow. Gamburyan passes to side control. Gamburyan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Flare will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gamburyan looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Flare could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Flare tries to bench press Gamburyan off him but Gamburyan keeps the position. Gamburyan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Flare keeps working. Flare tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Gamburyan presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Gamburyan controlling from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gamburyan with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

Gamburyan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Gamburyan sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Gamburyan lands a heavy elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Flare really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gamburyan takes Flare's back. Gamburyan looking for the RNC. Gamburyan patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Manvel Gamburyan dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Gamburyan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Flare swivels and escapes. Gamburyan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Flare stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Flare gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Gamburyan counters with a good low kick that Flare was not able to check. Gamburyan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Gamburyan lands a big head kick that sends Flare tumbling to the mat! Gamburyan takes a step backwards and waves Flare back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Flare is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Gamburyan shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Flare is on queer street and Gamburyan is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
