The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Barros had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Czechvaka is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Barros Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Czechvaka's back instead.
Czechvaka turns into Barros and is now in his guard.
Czechvaka wants to pass the guard but Barros is keeping the position.
Czechvaka is working hard here to advance position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Czechvaka sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Barros's guard.
Czechvaka trying to mount his opponent but Barros defends it.
Czechvaka moves nicely into side control.
Czechvaka decides to stand back up. Czechvaka steps back and let's Barros get back to his feet.
Czechvaka feints and as Barros raises his hands in defense, Czechvaka changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barros wants to sweep here but Czechvaka controlling him for the moment.
Czechvaka forces his way into half guard.
Czechvaka decides to stand up.
Czechvaka shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Barros's guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Barros is on top in guard.
Czechvaka is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Barros rolls with it to try and escape but Czechvaka cranks on the arm and Barros is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
