The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Krarotrov both land. Nice combination.
Krarotrov looks to land a combination but Grigoriev avoids it well.
Grigoriev uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Krarotrov.

Grigoriev goes for a double leg but Krarotrov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Krarotrov continues to drive forward.

Krarotrov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Krarotrov dips to his left and cracks Grigoriev with an uppercut!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Krarotrov looks to throw the jab but Grigoriev is out of range.

No luck for Grigoriev with that takedown attempt.
Jason Krarotrov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grigoriy Grigoriev.

and Krarotrov counters with a series of strikes. Grigoriev will be more careful next time no doubt.
Krarotrov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Grigoriev was well out of range. Poor timing from Krarotrov.

Grigoriev walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

and Grigoriev counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Krarotrov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Krarotrov tries to get out of the position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Grigoriev thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Grigoriev drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Krarotrov manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Grigoriev has Krarotrov in his guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Grigoriev working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Krarotrov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Grigoriev is tightening it up a little... Krarotrov has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Krarotrov reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Krarotrov taps out! Nice BJJ there by Grigoriev!
