Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shane Carwin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mitch Ragon!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Carwin swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Carwin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Carwin working hard to break the clinch.
Ragon blocking some punches.
Ragon lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Ragon connects with a knee to the head.
Ragon misses with a knee to the head.
Carwin has a couple of punches blocked by Ragon.
Ragon misses with a knee strike.
Ragon using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Carwin has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Carwin wants to break the clinch but can't.
Ragon tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Carwin avoids it.
Carwin misses with a body punch.
Ragon throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Carwin blocks it with crossed arms.
Ragon misses with a knee strike.
Ragon prevents Carwin from breaking the clinch.
Ragon with an attempt at a knee that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Carwin avoids the elbow strike from Ragon, against the cage.

Ragon misses with a knee strike.
Carwin throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Ragon looks winded!
Ragon throws a knee to the head but misses.
Ragon utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Ragon tries to land a knee to the head but Carwin blocks with his arms.
Ragon misses with a knee to the head.
Carwin is trying to break free.
Carwin blocks an elbow strike.
Carwin is trying to force a seperation but Ragon has the dominant position.
A head punch on the inside from Ragon fails to land.
Carwin swings wildly with an uppercut but Ragon uses good head movement to avoid it.

Ragon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Carwin lands a big right hand that sends Ragon crashing to the mat! Carwin stays standing though and waves Ragon back to his feet!


Ragon is rocked!


It looks like Mitch Ragon has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ragon loses concentration momentarily and Carwin pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Ragon crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Carwin finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Shane Carwin!
