Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Rowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krystian Cierpka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krystian Cierpka has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Rowe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Krystian Cierpka!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rowe misses with a low kick.
Krystian Cierpka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cierpka looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Rowe!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Cierpka is trying to get an arm triangle but Rowe is defending well.

Rowe tries to buck Cierpka off but Cierpka is having none of it.

Cierpka decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Rowe gets caught napping as Cierpka dives in and scores a takedown. Rowe manages to retain guard.

Rowe is breathing heavily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rowe not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Rowe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Krystian Cierpka was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Rowe closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rowe is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Cierpka will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Rowe throws an elbow but Cierpka slips to the side and avoids it well.
Cierpka is trying to control Rowe's posture but Rowe avoids it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rowe tries to score with some ground and pound. Cierpka controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Rowe can't break the clinch.
Rowe wants a takedown but no success here.
Rowe is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Cierpka is keeping busy.
Rowe tries to break free but Cierpka pushes him back against the cage.

Rowe trying to control but Cierpka is working from the bottom.
Cierpka is trying to control the position but Rowe postures up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rowe wants to control from the top but Cierpka keeps moving.
Rowe not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Jon Rowe has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Cierpka closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rowe's guard.

Rowe manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Cierpka fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rowe, pushing him back against the cage.
Cierpka misses with a punch to the body.

Cierpka breaks from the clinch.

Rowe is trying to break the clinch but Cierpka is controlling him.

Cierpka breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Cierpka fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rowe sprawls well initially but Cierpka persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cierpka connects with a nice short shot to Rowe's temple.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cierpka wants to pass the guard but Rowe is defending well.
Cierpka is keen to just control but Rowe is a slippery customer.
Cierpka not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Rowe wants to improve his position but Cierpka is controlling well.
Cierpka works his way into full mount!

Cierpka fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Cierpka trying to control but Rowe is having none of it.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cierpka cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Cierpka is looking to stand but Cierpka has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Krystian Cierpka has got the better of the ground game so far.
Cierpka with shots to the head and body - Rowe looks very uncomfortable down there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rowe is squirming around, avoiding Cierpka's attempts to control the action.

Cierpka scores with a couple of good head shots there.


Rowe is rocked!

Cierpka looking for a guillotine from mount but Rowe is having none of it.
Oh Rowe is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cierpka controlling the position easily from mount.
Cierpka is landing with some decent strikes but Rowe is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Cierpka jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rowe manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Cierpka scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Rowe to see if he's OK.

Cierpka tries for a kimura but Rowe is defending well.
Cierpka tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cierpka remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Rowe is looking for a sweep.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Krystian Cierpka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Cierpka closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rowe to the mat! Rowe manages to get full guard.
Rowe seems to have got his legs back now.
Cierpka must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Cierpka postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Cierpka won't allow Rowe to sweep him here.

Cierpka drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rowe manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cierpka has Rowe in his guard.
Rowe postures up and lands a big shot to Cierpka's brow.

Rowe decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Cierpka decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Cierpka wants to work for an arm triangle but Rowe is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Rowe is staying active underneath Cierpka, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Cierpka perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Krystian Cierpka wasn't active enough on the ground.
Cierpka throws a combination. Rowe tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cierpka throws a sloppy head kick and Rowe moves out of range easily.
Cierpka scores with a hook.
Cierpka lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
A low kick from Cierpka misses
and Rowe counters with a right hand to the body.

Rowe shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Krystian Cierpka comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cierpka has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
