Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ernesti Koppinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pentti Mustalaanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koppinen comes to the cage accompanied by Kontra - Sankarit salapoliiseina. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ernesti Koppinen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pentti Mustalaanen! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Koppinen.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Koppinen. Koppinen throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mustalaanen moves into the clinch. Koppinen manages to break the clinch.
Pentti Mustalaanen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mustalaanen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Koppinen avoids the head kick by Mustalaanen.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Mustalaanen. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Sloppy strikes there by Mustalaanen. Mustalaanen working the strikes but Koppinen uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Koppinen trying to control but Mustalaanen postures up.

Mustalaanen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Koppinen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Mustalaanen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Mustalaanen's back! Mustalaanen tries to escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mustalaanen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Mustalaanen holding both Koppinen 's hands and preventing any damage. Mustalaanen is having to fend off submission attempts from Koppinen, who is looking to sink in the choke. Koppinen doesn't have the hooks in though and Mustalaanen manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard. Koppinen looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Mustalaanen passes into half guard.
Mustalaanen wants to get back to his feet.

Mustalaanen looks to land a strike but Koppinen avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Mustalaanen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Koppinen is trying to control the position but Mustalaanen postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Koppinen keeping moving, preventing Mustalaanen from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Pentti Mustalaanen was stalling too much, according to the referee. Koppinen throws a sloppy head kick and Mustalaanen moves out of range easily. Koppinen has been working on his balance at EVIL Smackdown Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Mustalaanen. Koppinen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mustalaanen shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mustalaanen stops Koppinen from getting back to his feet.

Pentti Mustalaanen dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Koppinen keeps the fight on the outside. Mustalaanen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Koppinen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Koppinen seems keen to control Mustalaanen's posture. Mustalaanen trying to control but Koppinen is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Koppinen keeping full guard, as Mustalaanen tries to pass. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Mustalaanen has eaten all the pies!
That's one minute gone in the round. Koppinen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mustalaanen defends it easily. Koppinen has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Mustalaanen off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Mustalaanen darts in trying to clinch and Koppinen counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Koppinen is trying for a kimura here. Mustalaanen looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Koppinen wins by kimura!
