Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Boris Hutchinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Jaa! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hutchinson moves into the clinch. Jaa looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Hutchinson is trying to trip Jaa. He has hold of a leg but Jaa is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hutchinson persists though and gets the takedown into guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Hutchinson showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Hutchinson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Hutchinson really is a fat lump. Hutchinson stopping the sweep attempt from Jaa. Hutchinson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hutchinson is stalling in the full guard. Our spies down at at Sten's Fitness & Jiu Jitsu School inform us that Jaa has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
We're going to have a standup here because Boris Hutchinson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Hutchinson has Jaa up against the cage in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hutchinson gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hutchinson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Hutchinson slips a nice elbow through Jaa's hands, connecting with Jaa's forehead. Hutchinson controlling the pace. Hutchinson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Hutchinson performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The ref stands the fighters back up because Boris Hutchinson just wasn't active enough. Hutchinson connects with a high kick. Hutchinson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Jaa tries to buck Hutchinson off but Hutchinson is having none of it. Hutchinson in side control, just content to control the action for now. Hutchinson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Hutchinson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Jaa will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Hutchinson shoots in and bounces Jaa off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hutchinson is stalling in the full guard. Boris Hutchinson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hutchinson connects with a couple of short punches. Hutchinson's corner is telling him to maintain position. Hutchinson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Hutchinson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hutchinson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Jaa is breathing heavily.

Jaa is fighting it off but Hutchinson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Jaa's guard against the cage. Jaa uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hutchinson.
Tony Jaa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jaa gets the takedown into side control. Jaa swings around for an armbar but Hutchinson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jaa's guard. Hutchinson distracts Jaa with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Hutchinson is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Hutchinson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hutchinson is stalling in the full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hutchinson forces Jaa back against the cage and clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hutchinson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jaa, pushing him back against the cage. Jaa gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Jaa stops Hutchinson from standing up. Hutchinson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Jaa! Hutchinson controlling his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jaa takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hutchinson scoring with strikes but Jaa is staying in there. Hutchinson in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Hutchinson controlling the pace for now. Hutchinson raining down hammerfists from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hutchinson controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee warns Jaa that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Hutchinson lands with some strikes. Hutchinson lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
