Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jose Baudelio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Houston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baudelio comes to the cage accompanied by Damian Marley ft Nas- Strong Will Continue . Houston has chosen Here Comes the Pain as his entrance music. Jose Baudelio looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Houston! The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baudelio has a takedown stuffed. Houston throws a series of punches but Baudelio avoids them all with ease. Mike Houston seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Baudelio drives through with a takedown into Houston's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Baudelio drops back, looking for a kneebar! Houston looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Houston looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Houston! Baudelio takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

We've been informed that Houston has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Baudelio works to advance to full mount. Houston defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Baudelio is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Houston is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jose Baudelio will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It looks like Jose Baudelio has been cut. Houston fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Baudelio on the side of the head. Houston displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Baudelio throws out the jab. Houston throws a series of punches but Baudelio moves out of range. Houston swinging wildly here.

Baudelio is rocked! A slow jab from Baudelio misses its intended target. Baudelio misses with a leg kick. Mike Houston is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Baudelio is defended easily by Houston. Houston throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Baudelio closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Baudelio shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Baudelio was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Houston is looking to reverse the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baudelio trying to control the action but Houston is working from the bottom. Baudelio looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Baudelio landing strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Possibly, maybe, no Baudelio has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Baudelio tries to score with some ground and pound. Houston controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Baudelio decides to stand back up. Nice combo by Houston! Oh, that's hurt him - Baudelio falls to the canvas and Houston follows him into side control.

Oh Baudelio is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Houston scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Baudelio is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Houston can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
