The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Nado Onusko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Washington tries to clinch there but Onusko circles away.

Onusko closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Washington's guard.

Washington working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Onusko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Onusko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Washington looking for a guillotine here but Onusko defends easily.
Onusko looking to sit in guard and control but Washington gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Washington has gone for a leg lock! Onusko slips out almost immediately though and dives into Washington's guard.

Nado Onusko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Washington's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Onusko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Washington counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Onusko thinking.
Onusko lands a leg kick that knocks Washington off balance momentarily.

Onusko takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Onusko shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Nado Onusko has got the better of the ground game so far.
Washington is trying is best to control the position here.

Washington wants to control but Onusko is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Delmer Washington wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Onusko throws a leg kick but Washington sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Onusko does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Washington counters with a takedown into side control.
Onusko parries the strikes from Washington easily there. Washington is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Onusko to escape.

Washington works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Washington swings around for an armbar but Onusko sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Washington's guard.
Washington is trying to control the position but Onusko postures up.
Washington wants to stand but Onusko is controlling the position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Delmer Washington.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Onusko. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Washington is looking to break free of the clinch but Onusko has double underhooks.

Washington ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Washington no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
