Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Rodinerio Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominic Rude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bravo comes to the cage accompanied by Damian Marley - Confrontation. Rude has chosen Gunslinger as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joey Rodinerio Bravo !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dominic Rude!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Eddie Farnsworth and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rude misses the shot to the body.
Bravo slips under a jab.
Bravo moves in looking to clinch but Rude pushes him off.
Bravo needs to keep his hands up - Rude had a free shot at his head there.
Rude looks to score with a jab to the body but Bravo is just out of range.

Bravo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rude looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Bravo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rude has escaped the position, nice work there.
Rude gets back to half guard.
Rude trying to hold on to Bravo 's head to control him but Bravo postures up.
Bravo prevents Rude from improving his position.

Bravo is working for a kimura but Rude is defending it quite comfortably.

Bravo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rude is just riding it out for now. Bravo eventually gives up the hold.
Bravo moves into full mount! Rude won't be happy about that!
Rude stops Bravo from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Rude is squirming around, avoiding Bravo 's attempts to control the action.

Rude bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Bravo throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Rude escapes and throws Bravo 's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rude lands a decent elbow from side control.

Bravo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Rude wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Rude wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bravo keeps working.
Rude tries to advance to mount but Bravo denies him.
Bravo tries to bench press Rude off him but Rude keeps the position.
We've been hearing good reports from Bravo 's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Bravo gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Bravo is trying to control but can't.
Rude wants to control but Bravo is keeping him busy.

Bravo looking for submissions off his back.
Bravo tries to roll over but Rude keeps him under control.

Bravo is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rude pulls his head out easily.
Rude perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Bravo is refusing to be controlled, as Rude sits in half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bravo is trying to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Joey Rodinerio Bravo will probably get the nod.

Rude slaps away a takedown attempt from Bravo , before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bravo tries to clinch but Rude moves away
and Rude counters with a stiff right hand.
Bravo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rude swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bravo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Bravo gets caught napping as Rude dives in and scores a takedown. Bravo manages to retain guard.
Rude pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bravo is keeping the position for now.
Rude wants to get up but he can't break Bravo 's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Bravo is trying to control the position but Rude postures up.
Rude tries to free his leg and advance position but Bravo is retaining full guard.
Bravo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Bravo looking for a guillotine here but Rude defends easily.

Joey Rodinerio Bravo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bravo keeping moving, preventing Rude from controlling successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rude throws the left hand but Bravo avoids the punch easily.
Rude ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Bravo fails in his attempt to clinch.

Rude feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Bravo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rude stacks Bravo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rude!
Bravo wants to control but Rude postures up.
Rude wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bravo keeps working.
Rude takes a little break here. Bravo wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bravo is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Rude wants to control but Bravo is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
You can see the frustration on Bravo 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Rude trying to control the action but Bravo is working from the bottom.
Bravo tries to bench press Rude off him but Rude keeps the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Dominic Rude was stalling too much, according to the referee.
That kick from Rude tenderised Bravo 's leg. Bravo is trying to keep his angry face on.
Joey Rodinerio Bravo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rude misses with a double jab.

Bravo closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bravo lands in his opponent's guard.
Rude is pulling down on Bravo 's head. It's preventing any offense from Bravo , at least for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dominic Rude showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!



Bravo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rude is trying to defend but Bravo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Bravo seems to be looking for submissions.
Rude is looking to control Bravo 's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rude avoid being mounted?

Bravo is looking for a kimura but Rude is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bravo to get the leverage.

Bravo wants to work for an arm triangle but Rude is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Bravo wants to control but Rude is keeping him busy.

Bravo has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rude is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Rude misses with a hook to the ribs.
Rude wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Rude can't find room to land a body shot as Bravo controls the action.

Rude's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Well Rude has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Dominic Rude really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that The Dark Side logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
In defeat, Joey Rodinerio Bravo stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'm sure he applied WD-40 to his body, so i couldn't get a hold of him!'.
