Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Silver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dalton McConnel!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McConnel lands a glancing blow to the side of Silver's head.
McConnel lands a head shot.
McConnel tries to bum rush Silver with a series of wild strikes but Silver uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A jab from McConnel finds it's way through Silver's defenses.
McConnel has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
McConnel punishes Silver's body with a nice straight punch.
McConnel scores with a shot to the body.
Silver has closed the distance and engaged McConnel in a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McConnel has Silver pressed against the cage.
Silver is working for takedown but McConnel is calmly controlling the position for now.
McConnel is trying to break the clinch but Silver has him pressed against the cage.
McConnel blocks an elbow strike from Silver.
McConnel prevents the takedown attempt.

Silver tries to pull guard but McConnel holds him up against the cage and eventually Silver drops back down to his feet.

McConnel wants to stall.

Silver escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silver fails with a takedown attempt.
Silver swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and McConnel counters with a stiff right hand.

Silver is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McConnel connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Silver tumbling to the canvas! McConnel pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Silver was done - good stoppage!
