The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rausku.
Lawler slaps away a takedown attempt from Rausku, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lawler swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lawler swings for the body but Rausku moves out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rausku is defended easily by Lawler.
Rausku has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Lawler is landing a low percentage of strikes.

and Lawler cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Rausku takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Rausku takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Rausku ducks right into an uppercut from Lawler.

Rausku throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lawler's waist but Lawler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rausku off to one side.
Lawler pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lawler punishes Rausku's body with a nice straight punch.
Lawler lands a big head kick that sends Rausku tumbling to the mat! Lawler takes a step backwards and waves Rausku back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Lawler is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Rausku like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Rausku from another fist facial!
