Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Buckner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franco Petersen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franco Petersen has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jay Buckner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Franco Petersen! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buckner bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Petersen looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Petersen managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Buckner.
Buckner scores with punches from side control. Buckner working the body and head with strikes. Petersen taking punishment in the form of punches.
Buckner thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Sloppy strikes there by Buckner. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Buckner decides to stand back up. Petersen tries to clinch but Buckner is having none of it. Petersen gets in close and instigates a clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Buckner jumps guard.
Petersen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Buckner is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Petersen, into his guard. Buckner has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Buckner won't allow Petersen to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buckner stands up over Petersen, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Buckner throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Petersen works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Buckner lands a couple of digs. Petersen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Buckner trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Buckner throwing strikes from guard but Petersen blocks nicely. Buckner is looking to work some ground and pound but Petersen has wrist control. Buckner with a flurry of punches that miss. Petersen has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Buckner is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Petersen. Buckner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Petersen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buckner stands up and we're back to a striking position. Buckner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Petersen tries to avoid it but Buckner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Petersen to the ground. Petersen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Buckner dives in for a single leg takedown but Petersen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Buckner tries to break the clinch but Petersen is controlling the position. Buckner jumps guard and drags Petersen to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Buckner thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Buckner throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Buckner has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Petersen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Petersen gets to his feet. Buckner looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Petersen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Buckner is looking to regain half guard here but Petersen keeps moving and retains side control. Petersen decides to stand back up. Petersen steps back and let's Buckner get back to his feet. Buckner tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Petersen defends well and Buckner ends up having to push Petersen into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Buckner. That's going to take a lot out of him. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Petersen pulls Buckner into guard.
Petersen looking for a sweep. Not yet Petersen, not yet. Petersen wants to get back to his feet but Buckner is in a dominant position and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Buckner closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Buckner not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Buckner throwing shots but Petersen is blocking nicely. Buckner postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Petersen to stand up. Petersen throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Petersen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Petersen wants it to stay on the feet. Buckner shoots for a takedown but Petersen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Buckner shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Petersen sprawls well. Petersen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Buckner gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Buckner. That's going to take a lot out of him. Petersen tries to clinch up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Petersen thows a leg kick but Buckner checks it and Buckner counters with a low kick, right behind Petersen 's knee. A looping hook to the body misses from Petersen. Buckner does a little dance to reset his feet. Petersen leaves Buckner with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Petersen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Buckner takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Buckner moves out of range of the leg kick from Petersen. Petersen scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Petersen stands up and beckons Buckner to his feet. Franco Petersen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Buckner takes a kick to the side of the head. Petersen thows a body shot but no joy. Buckner fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Petersen misses with a combination
and Buckner counters with a slapping leg kick.

Nice sprawl there from Petersen as Buckner shoots in. Buckner looking to score a takedown here. Petersen is defending well but Buckner drives through and ends up in Petersen's guard. Petersen kicks Buckner off and gets to his feet. Petersen sizes up Buckner with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Buckner dodges the punch combination from Petersen.
Petersen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buckner tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Petersen paws at him with a jab and circles away. Buckner closes this distance looking for a takedown but Petersen circles away. Petersen throws a head kick but Buckner moves out of range.

Buckner forces Petersen back against the cage and clinches. Petersen works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Petersen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Buckner throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Franco Petersen will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Buckner gets caught flat footed, as Petersen shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Buckner is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Petersen wants to control from the top but Buckner keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Buckner lands a couple of decent looking body shots there.

Buckner slips out almost immediately though and dives into Petersen's guard. Buckner missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

We've been informed that Petersen has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Buckner throwing strikes from guard but Petersen blocks nicely. Buckner tries to stand but Petersen is controlling from the bottom. Buckner postures up in Petersen's guard and throws a big left but Petersen blocks it. That's two minutes gone in the round. Buckner postures up and lands a big shot to Petersen's brow. Buckner scoring with punches to the head and body. Buckner cracks Petersen with a solid left hand. Buckner wants to stand but Petersen has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Petersen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Buckner throwing strikes but missing. Buckner loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Petersen controlling the position. Buckner in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Petersen pulls Buckner in close to prevent any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Petersen has his foot on Buckner's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Buckner works his way back into a safe position though. Buckner missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Petersen is on top in guard.
Petersen slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Buckner. Petersen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Buckner does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Petersen is working for a submission of some sort.

Petersen stands up out of the half guard. Petersen takes the fight into the clinch. Petersen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Petersen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Petersen wants to sweep here but Buckner controlling him for the moment. Buckner prevents Petersen from getting back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Buckner won't allow Petersen to sweep him here. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Petersen will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Franco Petersen. I think Petersen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
