Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lars Hagen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacques Lim Napoles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lars Hagen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jacques Lim Napoles! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hagen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Napoles throws out the jab. Napoles avoids the head kick by Hagen.
Horrible takedown by Napoles or perhaps it was just good defense by Hagen which made him look bad. Napoles has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hagen is landing a low percentage of strikes. Napoles goes for a double leg but Hagen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hagen continues to drive forward. Napoles fails to pull guard.
Lars Hagen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jacques Lim Napoles. Hagen looking to slow down the pace here. Hagen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Napoles misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hagen is looking to score with low kicks. Napoles on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hagen. Hagen obviously looking to wear him down.
Napoles throws an off balance right hand
and Hagen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Hagen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hagen wants it to stay on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hagen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Napoles sees it coming and avoids it easily. Napoles fails with the takedown and Hagen makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Napoles really felt that one! Hagen is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Napoles works Hagen's body with a nice hook. Napoles swings for the body but Hagen moves out of range.
Jacques Lim Napoles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Napoles throws a hook to the side of Hagen's head but Hagen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Napoles has a takedown stuffed. Hagen forces Napoles back against the cage and clinches. A short uppercut from Hagen. Hagen manages to break the clinch.
Hagen scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Napoles lands with a right hand. Hagen tries to clinch but Napoles moves out of range. Napoles drives through with a takedown into guard. Napoles forces his way into half guard. Hagen wants to control but Napoles is keeping busy and won't allow it. Hagen moves into full guard.
Napoles trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hagen has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Hagen striking off his back but it's not causing Napoles any problems.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Napoles is looking to work some ground and pound but Hagen has wrist control. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hagen holds on and takes a little breather. Napoles working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Hagen keeping moving, preventing Napoles from controlling successfully. Hagen keeping full guard, as Napoles tries to pass. Hagen pulls Napoles in to control the position.
Lars Hagen has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Hagen throws a head kick but Napoles moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Napoles throws out a loose jab but Hagen uses good head movement to avoid it. Hagen defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Napoles. Hagen looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Hagen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hagen tries to close the distance and clinch but Napoles swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hagen takes a swing at Napoles's ribcage but misses. Napoles shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Napoles trying to control from half guard but Hagen is working away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hagen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lars Hagen dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Napoles loads up on a big right hand but Hagen slips the punch. Hagen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Napoles looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hagen is fending him off so far but Napoles persists. Nope, Hagen circles away and we're back to standing. Napoles fails with the takedown and Hagen counters with a crisp right that sends Napoles to the canvas! Hagen follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lars Hagen! An out of breath Lars Hagen thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
