31 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mickey O Neil! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Neil connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bone. Bone circles away out of range and recomposes himself. O Neil connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. O Neil cracks Bone with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. O Neil lands a nice looking body shot.
Bone bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Bone uses good head movement to avoid the hook from O Neil. O Neil has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. O Neil lands with a hook. Bone tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Mickey O Neil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bone misses with the combination.
O Neil tries to bum rush Bone with a series of wild strikes but Bone uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Bone ducks under a wild hook from O Neil. Nice cross by O Neil. Bone tries to move into range but O Neil moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! O Neil connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bone's hands. O Neil ducks under a wild hook from Bone. Bone takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

and Bone moves into the clinch. O Neil wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bone has hold of one of O Neil's legs. O Neil is fighting the takedown attempt but Bone gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Bone is looking to advance position but O Neil has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Bone is looking to improve his position but O Neil isn't that keen on the idea. Bone is working hard here to advance position. O Neil wants to get back to his feet but Bone is holding on tight.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! O Neil wants to control the pace but Bone is squirming around nicely. Bone is in all sorts of trouble here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. O Neil trying to control but he's not successful this time. O Neil with a couple of short strikes. Bone keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bone holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as O Neil tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

We've been hearing good reports from Bone's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Bone tries to reverse the position but O Neil maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. O Neil looking to control but Bone is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. O Neil has control of Bone's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Bone regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Bone swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. O Neil seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Bone is holding on tight.

That's four minutes gone in the round. O Neil has the hooks in. Bone is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. O Neil has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Bone has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Bone is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if O Neil gets his way!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bone just trying to survive but O Neil is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bone wants to get back to his feet. Bone is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mickey O Neil dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Bone throws a combination but it was largely blocked by O Neil. O Neil scores with a nice strike. A big right from O Neil misses. Nice jab there from O Neil. O Neil looks to score with a jab to the body but Bone is just out of range. Bone on the wrong end of a nice hook. Bone throws a jab when O Neil was well out of range. O Neil takes one on the chin but seems OK.
It looks like Mickey O Neil has been cut. Nice body punch from O Neil. O Neil misses with the combination.
Bone uses good head movement to avoid the hook from O Neil. O Neil throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bone.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Neil misses with a wild body shot. Bone blocks a jab. Bone tries to clinch up. O Neil has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Bone throws a right and a left that both miss. Bone shoots for a double leg takedown but O Neil sprawls well. He's pushed Bone's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. O Neil throws a lazy right hand but Bone sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. A jab from O Neil misses. Bone changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. O Neil tries to avoid it but Bone manages to keep hold of a leg and drag O Neil to the ground. O Neil escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The fight stays on the outside here - Bone looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mickey O Neil seems to be getting the better of the standup. A combination from Bone does no damage. O Neil punishes Bone's body with a nice straight punch. Bone thows a body shot but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Neil stalks Bone and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bone's face. Bone staggers backwards, shaken. O Neil misses with a straight left. Bone fakes high and swings low for a body shot but O Neil manages to avoid it. Bone swings for the body but O Neil moves out of range.

O Neil might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. O Neil lands with an uppercut that bounces Bone off the cage and back into range. O Neil lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. O Neil bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Bone takes a body punch but keeps moving. O Neil swings for the body but Bone moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round. O Neil clobbers Bone with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. O Neil moves out of range of the strikes. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by O Neil!

and Bone counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. O Neil misses with a body kick. Bone drops his hands momentarily and O Neil takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. O Neil keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tee Bone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. O Neil bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bone's head backwards. This has been an exciting period of action! Bone takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
O Neil swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Bone staying out of range there. O Neil with a jab. Bone fails in his attempt to clinch. O Neil stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and O Neil wants it to stay on the feet. Bone looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. O Neil thows a left - swing and a miss! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. O Neil lands a glancing blow to the side of Bone's head. Bone slips a jab and a cross from O Neil.
O Neil stalks Bone and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bone's face. Bone staggers backwards, shaken. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mickey O Neil showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Mickey O Neil's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

A momentary lapse in concentration from O Neil enables Bone to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. O Neil manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. O Neil managing to control the position. Bone trying to control but O Neil is working from the bottom. O Neil wants to sweep here but Bone controlling him for the moment. Bone wants to control from the top but O Neil keeps moving. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. O Neil is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bone tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. O Neil misses with a looping left. O Neil ducks right into an uppercut from Bone. O Neil lands with a shot to the body. Bone ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Bone takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Bone connects with a good right hand that stumbles O Neil. O Neil circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Bone throws an uppercut from half a mile away. O Neil sees it coming and avoids it easily. O Neil ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bone moves away. Bone walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Mickey O Neil is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. O Neil throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bone stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Bone shoots for a takedown but O Neil saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bone misses with a double jab.
O Neil misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
O Neil slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Bone takes a swing at O Neil's ribcage but misses. O Neil connects with a single shot there. O Neil misses with an uppercut. Bone saw that one coming. O Neil throws a right and a left that both miss. Bone drives through and clinches with O Neil against the cage.
Tee Bone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Both fighters working to control the clinch. O Neil misses with the head strike.
Bone lands a nice shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bone lands a left hand that snaps the head of O Neil backwards. O Neil prevents the takedown attempt.
Bone lands on the inside with an uppercut. A short right from Bone on the inside. O Neil stops a takedown attempt from Bone.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tee Bone. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bone tries to throw a body punch but O Neil avoids it by throwing Bone back against the cage. Bone blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bone showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from O Neil.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tee Bone. I think O Neil has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
