PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sten Biller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Biller has chosen Lützenkirchen- Nutcracker as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie misses with the body kick

and Biller counters with a shoot takedown. Gracie fights it but they end up in guard.
Biller postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Biller stands up over Gracie, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Gracie is trying to keep Biller in close.
Gracie utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Gracie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Biller manages to get himself to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Biller is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gracie working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Biller doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Biller manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Biller working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Biller drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Gracie dives on top into guard.

Biller is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Gracie is defending well though. Biller let's go of the attempt for now.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Biller escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gracie gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Gracie lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Biller is looking for a triangle here but Gracie uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Biller takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Biller tries to buck Gracie off but Gracie is having none of it.
Gracie gets to mount! Biller was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Sten Biller will probably get the nod.
That's time! Gracie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Gracie pivots, looking for a leg kick but Biller is out of range and Gracie settles back down.
Gracie slaps away a takedown attempt from Biller, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Gracie lands a glancing blow to the side of Biller's head.

Gracie has hold of one of Biller's legs. Biller is fighting the takedown attempt but Gracie gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gracie's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Biller has momentary wrist control but Gracie slips an elbow through the middle.
