Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Uncle Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Fondelier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob comes to the cage accompanied by Body Count's in the house. Uncle Bob has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Uncle Bob!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Matt Fondelier!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Peter Branson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob closes the distance and clinches up with Fondelier, looking for a takedown. Bob pushes Fondelier against the cage but Fondelier circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bob wants to clinch up but Fondelier keeps it at a distance.
Bob fails with the takedown.
Fondelier has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Bob shoots for a double leg takedown but Fondelier sprawls well. He's pushed Bob's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Uncle Bob. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fondelier forces Bob back against the cage and clinches.
Bob is trying to pull guard but Fondelier turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Fondelier.
Bob jumps guard but Fondelier turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Bob is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Fondelier is keeping busy.
Bob tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Bob manages to pull guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Fondelier wants to control from the top but Bob keeps moving.
Bob has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bob is trying to keep Fondelier in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bob working for a triangle but Fondelier defends it easily.
Bob keeping moving, preventing Fondelier from controlling successfully.

Bob had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Fondelier defends it easily.

Bob pushes a forearm under Fondelier's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Fondelier is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Uncle Bob!
Uncle Bob retains his heavyweight title!
