Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Humberto Serrano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heinz Everts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Everts has chosen Eye of the Tiger as his entrance music. Humberto Serrano has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Humberto Serrano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Heinz Everts! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Serrano misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Everts.
Everts closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Serrano to the mat! Serrano manages to get full guard. Serrano is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Everts is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Serrano is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Everts presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Serrano drags the fight down to the ground.
Everts really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Serrano. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Everts trying to control but Serrano is working from the bottom. Serrano is pulling down on Everts's head to control his posture. Serrano is looking for a triangle but Everts pushes his legs off easily.
Serrano wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Everts manages to pass to side control. Everts tries to pass to full mount but Serrano defends it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Everts wants to lay and pray for a moment but Serrano keeps working. Serrano pushes Everts off and gets back to his feet. Serrano fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Everts manages to avoid it. Everts feints and as Serrano raises his hands in defense, Everts changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Everts wants to control from the top but Serrano keeps moving. Serrano could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Serrano is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Serrano keeping moving, preventing Everts from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Serrano is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Everts is controlling him. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Serrano keeping moving, preventing Everts from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Heinz Everts. Serrano moves into the clinch. Everts lands a takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action! Serrano has his feet on Everts's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Everts blocks a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Everts pushes Serrano up against the cage in a clinch. Serrano is trying to pull guard but Everts has him pressed against the cage. Serrano tries to pull guard but Everts forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Everts drags the fight down to the ground.
Serrano gets to his feet. Everts looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Everts moves into the clinch. Serrano jumps into guard, dragging Everts to the mat.
Serrano is breathing heavily. Everts trying to control but Serrano is working from the bottom. Everts pushing down on Serrano's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Everts stalling. Serrano avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Everts.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Serrano kicks off Everts and gets to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Everts closes the distance and pushes Serrano back into the cage. Everts tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Serrano's elbow. Serrano is trying to pull guard but Everts has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Humberto Serrano. That's going to take a lot out of him. Serrano tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Everts just stands there and leans against the cage. Serrano ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Serrano no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Everts stands up from Serrano's guard - Everts perhaps looking for a knockout. Heinz Everts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Serrano misses with a straight right. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Heinz Everts will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Everts lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Serrano has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Serrano and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Everts shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Serrano's guard. Serrano keeping full guard, as Everts tries to pass. Serrano pulls Everts in close to prevent any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Everts wanted to stand there but Serrano had control of the position. Everts working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Everts trying to control the position from guard on top but Serrano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Serrano has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Everts off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Serrano tries to sprawl but Everts drives through with a takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Serrano is pressing down on Everts's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Everts trying to control the position from guard on top but Serrano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Serrano looking for a guillotine here but Everts defends easily.
Everts tries to free his leg and advance position but Serrano is retaining full guard. Everts trying to control but Serrano is working from the bottom. Serrano looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Serrano scrambles and gets back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Everts closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Serrano gets full guard. Serrano looking for a guillotine here but Everts defends easily.
Everts controlling from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Serrano scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Serrano working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Everts doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Everts manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Heinz Everts has got the better of the ground game so far. Everts loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Everts trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Serrano wants to get back to his feet but Everts is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Everts. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Everts trying to control but Serrano is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Everts trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Heinz Everts was stalling too much, according to the referee. A head kick misses from Everts. A head kick misses from Everts. Everts decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Serrano looks like he's trying to stand up.

Serrano has one foot on Everts's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Serrano looks for a takedown but Everts sprawls well. Serrano gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Everts to score an easy takedown into full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Heinz Everts showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Serrano's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!
Everts moves into the clinch. Serrano is looking to take this one to the mat. Serrano is trying to pull guard but Everts turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Everts pulls guard effortlessly. Everts looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Everts is trying to control the position but Serrano postures up. Everts pulls Serrano in close to prevent any damage. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Serrano postures up in Everts's guard and throws a big left but Everts blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Everts is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Heinz Everts hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Serrano misses with a head kick.
Everts uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Everts avoids the body shot from Serrano.
Everts shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Serrano is trying to defend but Everts finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Serrano manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Everts keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Serrano goes for a takedown attempt but Everts pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Humberto Serrano. That's going to take a lot out of him. Everts gets the takedown into side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Serrano pushes Everts away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Everts gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Serrano managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Everts.
Everts trying to control the action but Serrano is working from the bottom. Sloppy strikes there by Everts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Everts tries to stand but Serrano is controlling his head. Everts working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Serrano sneaks out the side door and pushes Everts away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Everts has closed the distance and engaged Serrano in a clinch.
Serrano drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are working up against the cage. Serrano manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Everts has hold of one of Serrano's legs. Serrano is fighting the takedown attempt but Everts gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Serrano trying to keep a closed guard but Everts is proving a slippery customer.
Everts tries to free his leg and advance position but Serrano is retaining full guard. Everts must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Serrano pushes Everts off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Everts has managed to clinch.
Serrano drops down looking for an ankle pick but Everts pulls his leg out and moves away.
Serrano takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
And that's the end of the fight! Heinz Everts comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Everts has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
