Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyrell Allison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tyrell Allison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Julius Turner! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turner fails with the takedown and Allison counters with a nice double leg into guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Turner working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Allison doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Allison manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Turner is looking for a triangle but Allison pushes his legs off easily.
Turner looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Turner is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turner working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Allison. Allison drops back looking for a leg! Turner is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Turner manages to kick Allison off! Allison jumps back into Turner's guard. Turner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Allison wants to control from the top but Turner keeps moving. Turner looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Turner is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Turner has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Allison has passed into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Turner takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Turner doesn't manage to clinch there - Allison circles away.
Turner works the jab nicely. Allison stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Allison wants it to stay on the feet. Tyrell Allison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julius Turner. Turner misses with a low kick.
Turner tries to close the distance and clinch but Allison swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Turner pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Allison back to the cage. Turner follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Turner is defended easily by Allison. Turner looks winded! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Turner lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Julius Turner dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Turner is defended easily by Allison. Turner shoots in but Allison avoids the takedown attempt easily. Turner darts in looking for a takedown but Allison gets double underhooks and turns Turner into the cage. Tyrell Allison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julius Turner. Turner prevents the takedown attempt.
Turner is working for takedown but Allison is calmly controlling the position for now. Turner successfully pulls guard.
Turner looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Allison controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turner looking for a sweep. Not yet Turner, not yet. Allison in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Allison stopping the sweep attempt from Turner. Allison throwing strikes from guard but Turner blocks nicely. Allison avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Turner is breathing heavily. Turner preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Allison throwing strikes but missing. Allison has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Turner working a defensive guard but Allison manages to pass into side control anyway.
Allison is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Turner has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turner throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Allison looking to control but instead Turner has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Turner works his way to full guard. Good work. Turner looking to hit a scissor sweep but Allison is one step ahead there. Turner has Allison pulled in close to control his posture.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Turner is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Allison working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Allison drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Allison jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Allison trying to control the position from guard on top but Turner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Turner is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Turner shoots in looking for a takedown. Allison tries to sprawl out of it but Turner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Allison manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Turner misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Turner stalks Allison and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Allison's face. Allison staggers backwards, shaken. Allison wants to clinch. Turner misses with a takedown and Allison counters with a flying knee. Nice. Allison tries for a takedown but Turner sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Turner shoots for a takedown but Allison saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tyrell Allison has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julius Turner.
That's one minute gone in the round. Allison shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Julius Turner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Turner tries for a takedown but Allison sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Tyrell Allison is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Turner takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Turner stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Turner wants it to stay on the feet. A combination from Turner does no damage. Allison stuffs the takedown attempt from Turner. Turner gets slowly back to his feet. Turner tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Allison shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Allison showed some decent athleticism there. Turner is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Allison wants to work for an arm triangle but Turner is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Allison prevents Turner from improving his position. Turner is trying to stand up here but Allison is controlling him well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turner tries to roll over but Allison keeps him under control. Allison sitting and controlling from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Turner wants to control but Allison is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A combination from Turner does no damage. Turner shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Allison as he jumps to the side. Nice takedown defense from Turner. No joy for Allison on that attempt. Sloppy strikes from Turner. Those never looked like landing. Turner tries to land a front kick but Allison steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Turner tries for a takedown but Allison circles away easily and Allison counters with a single leg into guard. Turner didn't expect that. Tyrell Allison has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Julius Turner is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Allison stands up over Turner, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tyrell Allison. I think Turner has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
