Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Jeffery Maynard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jercules Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jercules Sanchez was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maynard tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Sanchez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sanchez checks a leg kick. Maynard is looking to clinch. Maynard is looking to clinch. Sanchez gets tackled into the ropes by Maynard . Maynard maintains the clinch. Maynard 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Maynard looks to land a left hand but Sanchez moved out of range nicely. Maynard is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sanchez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sanchez swats away the attempt to clinch by Maynard . Maynard fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sanchez, pushing him back against the ropes. Our sources have told us that Maynard has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. Maynard is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Sanchez is defending well for now. Maynard manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Maynard lands a nice shot to the body. A shot in the inside from Maynard . This has been an exciting period of action! Maynard lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Maynard lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Sanchez looks winded! Maynard makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Sanchez takes a shot to the head. Maynard lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Maynard creates a bit of space and cracks Sanchez with an uppercut that drops him to the canvas! Sanchez is wobbled and seems to be struggling to get back to his feet. 3,4,5. He's up! Phew, his manager will be relieved but they're no doubt wondering whether he'll be able to recover properly and get back in the fight! Jeffery Maynard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Maynard has closed the distance and engaged Sanchez in a clinch.

Sanchez takes a shot to the head. A head punch on the inside from Maynard fails to land. A frustrated look appears on Sanchez's face as he tries to break the clinch. Maynard creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! Sanchez crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5, yes, he's made it back to his feet. He seems OK so it looks like we're going to continue! Sanchez keeps the fight on the outside. Maynard has closed the distance and engaged Sanchez in a clinch.

Maynard breaks the clinch momentarily and cracks Sanchez with a big right hook that drops him to the canvas! Sanchez looks like he might be in big trouble here! The referee has started the count straight away and we're up to 5 already. Sanchez get to one knee - can he make it back to his feet? Yes, he's struggled back up to his feet and seems OK to continue. The referee agrees so we're back to the action! Maynard tries to clinch but Sanchez moves out of range. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Maynard darts in and clinches Sanchez up against the ropes. Maynard lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Sanchez backwards. Maynard is muscling Sanchez up against the ropes and as Sanchez bounces back off, Maynard cracks him with a huge right hand! Sanchez crumples to the mat - he's out cold! This one is all over!
