Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Blas Kavcic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Roach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Roach!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kavcic throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Roach's waist but Roach gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kavcic off to one side.
Roach uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Roach will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Roach attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Roach throws a lazy right hand but Kavcic sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Kavcic shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Roach but Roach pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Roach is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Kavcic is trying to control but can't.
Roach is figuring out what he wants to do next.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Blas Kavcic.
