Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Miksu Rupunen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul The Ribber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rupunen comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Miksu Rupunen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paul The Ribber! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Ribber shoots in but Rupunen avoids the takedown attempt easily. Rupunen is looking to chop away at The Ribber's legs. Rupunen avoids a kick to the body.
Rupunen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rupunen looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for The Ribber! Rupunen lands with some vicious ground and pound - can The Ribber hang on? Rupunen looking to control and managing it successfully. The Ribber wants to control but Rupunen is having none of it. Rupunen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rupunen looking to control and managing it successfully. The Ribber tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rupunen controlling from mount. The Ribber tries to hold on but Rupunen postures up. The Ribber can't escape the position.
The Ribber wants to control but Rupunen is having none of it. The Ribber holds of for dear life. The Ribber really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rupunen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rupunen lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The Ribber is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rupunen gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. The Ribber breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Rupunen gets a takedown into half guard. Rupunen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The Ribber wants to get back to his feet.
The Ribber keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Rupunen decides to stand up. The Ribber keeps the fight on the outside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Ribber tries for a takedown but Rupunen circles away easily and Rupunen counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for The Ribber! Rupunen manages to capitalize on a mistake by The Ribber to take his back! The Ribber is trying to break free.
The Ribber looks gassed! The Ribber wants to control his opponent's hands but Rupunen gets his hands free. The Ribber holding both Rupunen 's hands and preventing any damage. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Rupunen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The Ribber breaks Rupunen's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The Ribber tries to stand but Rupunen is controlling from the bottom. Rupunen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. The Ribber gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rupunen keeping moving, preventing The Ribber from controlling successfully. The Ribber postures up.
The Ribber won't allow Rupunen to sweep him here. Rupunen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rupunen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in The Ribber's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Miksu Rupunen dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
The Ribber clinches up with Rupunen and pushes him back against the cage. The Ribber tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The Ribber looking for a takedown. The Ribber letting Rupunen take a breather here. Rupunen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but The Ribber pulls him back up using the underhooks. Rupunen fails to pull the fight into his guard.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miksu Rupunen. That's going to take a lot out of him. The Ribber can't break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The Ribber taking a breather. A right hook to the body lands for The Ribber.

The Ribber escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rupunen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. The Ribber tries to avoid it but Rupunen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag The Ribber to the ground. The Ribber escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The Ribber misses with a double jab
and Rupunen counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rupunen. The Ribber is trying to keep Rupunen in close.
Rupunen is looking to work some ground and pound but The Ribber has wrist control. Rupunen won't allow The Ribber to get back to his feet. Rupunen trying to control but The Ribber is working from the bottom. The Ribber wants to stand and escape but Rupunen is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The Ribber is breathing heavily. Rupunen wants to control from the top but The Ribber keeps moving. Rupunen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rupunen postures up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rupunen misses with a takedown attempt and The Ribber holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. The Ribber connects with a nasty looking knee right to Rupunen's face.

The Ribber pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. The Ribber gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Rupunen showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The Ribber wants to stand up but Rupunen is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Ribber is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rupunen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. The Ribber is keeping the position for now. Rupunen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The Ribber not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Rupunen tries to grapple but his opponent circles and The Ribber counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by The Ribber. The Ribber misses with a hook from the clinch. The Ribber is pressed up against the cage. Rupunen has hold of a leg and is looking to drag The Ribber down to the mat. The Ribber avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Rupunen avoids a punch combination nicely.
The Ribber throws a series of strikes that have Rupunen backpedaling.
A solid body kick from The Ribber. The Ribber tries to clinch but Rupunen moves out of range. Rupunen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts The Ribber as he jumps to the side. Paul The Ribber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The Ribber with a poor takedown and Rupunen counters with a nice double leg into side control. The Ribber won't be happy with that. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Miksu Rupunen dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
The Ribber throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rupunen's waist but Rupunen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing The Ribber off to one side. The Ribber throws a shot from downtown. Rupunen moves away and avoids it. The Ribber has taken the fight to the clinch.

The Ribber is fighting to break Rupunen's control of his arms but Rupunen is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Rupunen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The Ribber throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Both fighters are breathing heavily. The Ribber trying to control the position from guard on top but Rupunen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rupunen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from The Ribber. The Ribber trying to stand up but can't free himself from Rupunen's guard. The Ribber won't allow Rupunen to sweep him here. Miksu Rupunen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rupunen manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Rupunen tries to clinch up but The Ribber circles away and keeps his distance. The fight stays on the outside here - The Ribber looks like he's thinking about clinching though. The Ribber gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The Ribber wants to get back to his feet but Rupunen is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Rupunen is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rupunen tries to free his leg and advance position but The Ribber is retaining full guard. The Ribber looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Rupunen trying to control but The Ribber is working from the bottom. The Ribber is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The Ribber is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rupunen is controlling him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Ribber is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Rupunen dives into side control.
Rupunen tries to advance to mount but can't. The Ribber is trying to control Rupunen's posture but Rupunen avoids it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rupunen drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Rupunen with a flurry of punches that miss. The Ribber wants to stand but Rupunen is controlling the position. The Ribber looking for a guillotine here but Rupunen defends easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rupunen pushing down on The Ribber's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Rupunen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks The Ribber with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Rupunen decides to stand and escape the position. Rupunen looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The Ribber is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Paul The Ribber has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The Ribber can't keep his opponent in guard - Rupunen advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Miksu Rupunen showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rupunen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
