Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Esposito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phan Tran Le (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Le has chosen Dukes of Hazard Theme Song - Waylon Jennings as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
45 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Esposito! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phan Tran Le! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Esposito throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Le counters with a nice leg kick. Le tries a head kick but it misses.
A big right from Le misses. Le tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Le avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Le rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Esposito moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Le on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Esposito moves in looking to clinch but Le pushes him off. Esposito lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Le slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Le throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Esposito lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Le throws a sloppy head kick and Esposito moves out of range easily. Le throws a solid leg kick but Esposito takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Le. Esposito wants to land a leg kick but Le is out of range. Nice uppercut there from Le. That kick from Esposito tenderised Le's leg. Le is trying to keep his angry face on. Nice body kick from Le.
That's one minute gone in the round. Esposito pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Esposito is looking to clinch but Le is avoiding it.
Esposito has managed to clinch.
Esposito has a couple of punches blocked by Le.
Esposito looking to throw knees to the head but Le is blocking nicely.
Le breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Le tries a head kick but it misses.
Le checks the leg kick nicely there.
We've been informed that Le has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Nice uppercut there from Esposito. Le throws a nice head kick!
It looks like Frank Esposito has been cut. Nice shot by Esposito. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Sloppy strikes from Esposito. Those never looked like landing. Esposito looks to land a body kick but Le moved away. Esposito gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Nice uppercut lands for Esposito. That snapped Le's head back.
Le is rocked! Esposito closes the distance and clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Le lands a hook that snaps the head of Esposito backwards. Esposito using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Le has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Le blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Esposito lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Le or not. Le utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Le tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Esposito's elbow. Esposito blocking some punches.
Le lands a damaging elbow. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Le. Le tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Esposito avoids it. Esposito using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Le has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Le. Esposito has Le pressed against the cage, preventing Le from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Esposito lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Le backwards. Esposito connects with a knee to the head.
Le escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Le throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Esposito just misses with a punch to the body.
Esposito dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Le throws a lazy right hand but Esposito sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Esposito delivers a nice body kick. Esposito keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Le goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Le scoring well with a low kick there.
Esposito tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Le lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Esposito tries to clinch but Le is having none of it. Esposito scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Le throws a leg kick but Esposito sees it coming and checks it nicely. Le throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Esposito thumps Le with a low kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Esposito lands with a shot to the body. Le tries to land a front kick but Esposito steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Esposito tries to clinch but Le is having none of it. Esposito steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Le. Le misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Le misses with a body kick. Esposito lands a nice leg kick that just misses Le's sensitive parts. Le clinches. Le misses with an elbow over the top. Le missing with knees to the body.
Esposito misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Le.
Le tries to land knees in the clinch but Esposito avoids the damage to the body. Esposito drops Le with a big knee straight up the middle! Le is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet! Le is still on wobbly legs! Can Esposito finish him?
It looks like Phan Tran Le has been cut. Le throws a jab when Esposito was well out of range. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Esposito connects with a single shot there. Le gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Esposito gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Frank Esposito! As Frank Esposito got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: This was my final competitive fight. It's been a great career.'.
