Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Olaff Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Olaff Peterson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Johnny Shamrock! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Shamrock misses. A jab from Shamrock does it's job there. Shamrock goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Shamrock - that will leave a mark!
Shamrock lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Peterson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Shamrock cracks Peterson with an open hand slap. Peterson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Shamrock connects with a looping right hand.
Peterson tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Shamrock is looking to land body kicks. Shamrock connects with a solid leg kick. Shamrock throws a hook to the side of Peterson's head but Peterson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's one minute gone in the round. A swing and a miss from Shamrock. Peterson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
A jab from Shamrock finds it's way through Peterson's defenses. Shamrock tests Peterson's chin there with a solid looking shot. Shamrock throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Shamrock looks to land a right hand but Peterson moved out of range. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Shamrock throws out a powerful jab. Shamrock moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Shamrock misses with a head kick.
Shamrock is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Peterson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shamrock jabbing away but nothing is landing. Shamrock lands a head shot. Shamrock swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Shamrock pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Shamrock throws out a loose jab but Peterson uses good head movement to avoid it. Shamrock looks to throw the jab but Peterson is out of range. Shamrock connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Shamrock connects with an inside leg kick. Shamrock lunges at Peterson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Peterson's hand. Peterson moves forwards but Shamrock connects with a nice, crisp jab. Johnny Shamrock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shamrock lands a nice leg kick that just misses Peterson's sensitive parts. Shamrock scoring well with a low kick there.
Nice defenses there by Peterson. Shamrock throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Peterson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Nice defenses there by Peterson. Peterson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Shamrock. Peterson takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Shamrock lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Peterson slips under a jab. Shamrock misses with a hook. Decent striking displayed by Shamrock there. Shamrock throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Peterson's head. Shamrock throws a hook but Peterson blocks it. Shamrock has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Peterson is landing a low percentage of strikes. Peterson needs to keep his hands up - Shamrock had a free shot at his head there. Shamrock misses with a kick to the body.
A jab from Shamrock misses. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Peterson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Shamrock looks to throw the jab but Peterson is out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shamrock lands a lovely overhand right. Shamrock has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Shamrock throws a jab but it's blocked by Peterson. Peterson takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shamrock lands a head shot. Shamrock throws a big shot that misses. Peterson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Shamrock. Shamrock's corner calls for a 1-2. Shamrock obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Shamrock looks to throw the jab but Peterson is out of range. Shamrock thows a left - swing and a miss! Peterson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice shot by Shamrock. Shamrock throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A big left from Shamrock misses. Shamrock throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Peterson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Shamrock takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Shamrock misses with a looping right. Peterson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Shamrock connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Peterson moves out of range of the strikes. Peterson blocks a jab. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Peterson might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters circling - Shamrock throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Peterson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Shamrock throws out the jab. Shamrock scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. A telegraphed right hand from Shamrock misses the target. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shamrock lands a leg kick that knocks Peterson off balance momentarily. Shamrock throws out a loose jab but Peterson uses good head movement to avoid it. Shamrock connects with a leg kick. Peterson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. The fighters circling - Shamrock throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Peterson is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Peterson slips a jab from Shamrock. Shamrock throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Peterson. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Shamrock showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Shamrock throws an overhand right that lands on Peterson's shoulder, as Peterson tries to avoid the shot. Shamrock lands with a kick to the ribs.

Peterson looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Shamrock looks to throw the jab but Peterson is out of range. Peterson ducks right into an uppercut from Shamrock. Shamrock throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Shamrock stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Shamrock throws a shot from downtown. Peterson moves away and avoids it. Shamrock throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Shamrock throws a push kick but Peterson slaps the foot to one side. A head kick misses from Shamrock. Shamrock takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Shamrock throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Good work by Peterson as he checks the leg kick. Shamrock is looking to slow Peterson down with leg kicks. Shamrock thumps Peterson with a low kick. Shamrock throws a leg kick that misses. Peterson slips under a jab. Peterson moves out of range of the body kick. Shamrock throws a hook but Peterson blocks it. Shamrock lands with a right hand.

Both fighters circling a little - Shamrock finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Shamrock scores with a nice right hand.
Shamrock takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Shamrock cracks Peterson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Peterson defending well as Shamrock loads up on a big left hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Peterson walks into a straight right hand from Shamrock. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shamrock pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Shamrock feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Petersons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
And that's the end of the fight! Johnny Shamrock comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Shamrock has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
