Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Gunnarsson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Sim Salabim! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunnarsson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Gunnarsson throws a leg kick but Salabim checks it. Salabim takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Gunnarsson misses the jab. Salabim changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gunnarsson tries to avoid it but Salabim manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gunnarsson to the ground. Gunnarsson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Gunnarsson with a jab. Gunnarsson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Salabim connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Gunnarsson throws a right hand that misses
and Salabim counters with a shoot takedown. Gunnarsson fights it but they end up in guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Salabim trying to control the position from guard on top but Gunnarsson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gunnarsson controlling Salabim's posture. Salabim engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gunnarsson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Salabim gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Salabim throwing strikes from guard but Gunnarsson blocks nicely. Gunnarsson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Salabim postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Salabim is working Gunnarsson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Salabim lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Salabim throwing strikes but missing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salabim is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Salabim looking to sit in guard and control but Gunnarsson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Salabim has an active guard here but Gunnarsson has managed to pass into half guard.
Salabim is not content to let Gunnarsson control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gunnarsson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Salabim trying to hold on to Gunnarsson's head to control him but Gunnarsson postures up.
Salabim tries to get to full guard but Gunnarsson has control of the leg. Salabim keeping control of the position. Salabim is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gunnarsson pulls his head out easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Salabim gets back to full guard.

Salabim is pulling down on Gunnarsson's head. It's preventing any offense from Gunnarsson, at least for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sim Salabim dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Salabim defending well as Gunnarsson loads up on a big left hand. Gunnarsson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Salabim. Salabim with a hook. Gunnarsson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Salabim dives in and scores a takedown into Gunnarsson's guard. Gunnarsson trying to control the position.
Salabim stopping the sweep attempt from Gunnarsson. Salabim stands and throws Gunnarsson's legs to the side, diving into side control. Salabim is putting a hurting on Gunnarsson here, landing some big shots from side control. Sim Salabim has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salabim wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gunnarsson keeps working. Gunnarsson is trying to get back to half guard. Salabim controls the position from side control. Salabim works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Salabim lands a nice forearm strike. Gunnarsson is looking for a sweep. Salabim advances to full mount. Salabim controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salabim looking to control but Gunnarsson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Salabim lands a nice shot to the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gunnarsson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Gunnarsson is rocked! Oooooh, big shot lands for Salabim! Gunnarsson is hurt baaadly! Salabim is firing away with more strikes - Gunnarsson is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Sim Salabim seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
