Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pooman Skidoo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Stabber! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stabber misses with a series of wild punches.
Stabber will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stabber fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Skidoo sprawls well initially but Stabber persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Stabber seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Stabber missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Stabber stalling. Skidoo wants to control but Stabber is keeping busy.
Skidoo is breathing heavily. Stabber stalling.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Steve Stabber hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Stabber moves into the clinch. Stabber has hold of one of Skidoo's legs. Skidoo is fighting the takedown attempt but Stabber gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Skidoo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Stabber is one step ahead there. Stabber's corner is telling him to maintain position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stabber accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stabber engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stabber is looking to work some ground and pound but Skidoo has wrist control. Stabber engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Stabber looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Steve Stabber. Stabber throws a right hand that Skidoo ducks under and follows up with a left that Skidoo also avoids with ease. Stabber shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Skidoo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. This has been an exciting period of action! Skidoo has his foot on Stabber's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stabber works his way back into a safe position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stabber is stalling in the full guard. Stabber lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Stabber looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Stabber is looking to work some ground and pound but Skidoo has wrist control. Stabber scoring with some ground and pound. Stabber not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. It looks like Stabber might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Steve Stabber has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. A lazy left from Stabber finds it's target. Steve Stabber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stabber throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Stabber clinches up with Skidoo and pushes him back against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stabber breaks from the clinch.
Skidoo slips a jab and a cross from Stabber.
Stabber throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Stabber dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Stabber gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Stabber tightens his grip and picks Skidoo up, before dumping him to the ground. Skidoo manages to land in guard. Stabber looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Skidoo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Skidoo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Stabber controls the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Steve Stabber hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. A right-left combo lands from Stabber. Stabber throws out a powerful jab. Stabber has Skidoo up against the cage in a clinch.
Stabber gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Stabber stands up over Skidoo, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Skidoo wants to control but Stabber passes easily into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stabber is working for a kimura but Skidoo is defending it quite comfortably.
Skidoo is trying to maintain the position but Stabber is very close to passing his half guard. Stabber not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Stabber in particular looking to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
We're going to have a standup here because Pooman Skidoo wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Stabber bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Skidoo is trying to escape the position but Stabber is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Skidoo takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Stabber scoring with punches from side control. Stabber is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Skidoo is trying to escape and Stabber transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Skidoo is forced to tap! Nice work there by Stabber! Very nice indeed!
