Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mike Awesome!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Awesome throws a lazy body kick
and Thiago counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Thiago lands a front kick.
Thiago leaves Awesome with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Awesome has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Thiago.
Thiago tries a head kick but it misses.
Awesome drives through and clinches with Thiago against the cage.
Awesome tries to stall but Thiago uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Thiago breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That kick from Thiago tenderised Awesome's leg. Awesome is trying to keep his angry face on.
Awesome tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thiago swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Thiago fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Thiago misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Awesome.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Thiago plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Thiago feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Awesome's calf.
Awesome shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Thiago but Thiago pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Thiago moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Awesome looks winded!
Thiago fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Awesome gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Thiago lands a head kick. Awesome smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Awesome is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Thiago cracks Awesome on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Awesome falls backwards against the cage. Thiago follows up with more strikes that drop Awesome to his knees. Thiago keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Awesome! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jorge Thiago!
