Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Donnell Fisher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonathan Andersson!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Roberts and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andersson throws a left and a right that both miss

and Fisher counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Fisher.
Andersson is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Fisher really is a fat lump.
Andersson prevents a takedown attempt there.
Andersson lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Andersson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.


It looks like Donnell Fisher has been cut.
Fisher goes for a takedown attempt but Andersson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donnell Fisher. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Andersson throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Fisher tumbling to the canvas!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Andersson wants to stand but Fisher has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Fisher might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Andersson wants to stand and escape but instead Fisher has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Fisher is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Fisher decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Andersson throws a right and a left that Fisher avoids nicely.
Andersson fails to land with a series of punches.
Fisher tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Andersson misses with a head kick.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Andersson and Fisher goes tumbling to the canvas! Andersson follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.


Fisher is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Andersson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Oh Fisher is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Andersson looks winded!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Andersson is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Fisher manages to get to full guard.
Fisher seems to have got his legs back now.
Fisher has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Andersson wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Fisher's closed guard. He's half up but Fisher has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Fisher pivots and extends the arm, Andersson falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Fisher! Well done that man!
