And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shen misses with a takedown attempt - Galati sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Shen tries for a takedown but Galati circles away easily
and Galati moves into the clinch.
We've been hearing reports that Shen has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Galati breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Shen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Galati to the mat! Galati manages to get full guard.

Galati is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Shen asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Oh but Shen is tightening it up a little... Galati has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Galati reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Galati taps out! Nice BJJ there by Shen!

In his post fight interview, Shilong Shen started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
