Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bertram Hurley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bruce Jenkins! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenkins gets a clinch. Jenkins is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Jenkins lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like Bertram Hurley has been cut. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Jenkins utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Jenkins using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Hurley is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jenkins to keep the fight standing. Jenkins is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hurley is defending well for now. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Jenkins lands a good knee to the midsection. Hurley won't want to take too many of those.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Bruce Jenkins. Hurley swats away the attempt to clinch by Jenkins. Jenkins tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hurley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Jenkins tries to clinch but Hurley is having none of it. Jenkins closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Jenkins is pushing Hurley up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Jenkins crunches a lovely knee into Hurley's ribcage.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Bruce Jenkins. Jenkins wants to clinch. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jenkins takes the fight into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hurley keeps the fight on the outside. Hurley defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jenkins. Jenkins fails in his attempt to clinch. Hurley avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jenkins shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hurley as he jumps to the side. Hurley circles away from the clinch attempt.
