Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Olhoffer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bud Macintosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ray Olhoffer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 21 - 3, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bud Macintosh!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Olhoffer gets caught flat footed, as Macintosh shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Macintosh is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Macintosh missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Macintosh forces his way into half guard.
Macintosh content to control rather than advance.
Olhoffer has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Olhoffer regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Macintosh.
Macintosh passes Olhoffer's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Olhoffer is staying active underneath Macintosh, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Macintosh throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, if Macintosh is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Macintosh is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Olhoffer defends it well.
Macintosh takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Macintosh wants to take a breather but Olhoffer is having none of it.

Macintosh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Olhoffer swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Olhoffer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Olhoffer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Macintosh stands and throws Olhoffer's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Macintosh is looking to take a break and control but Olhoffer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The strikes coming from Macintosh are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Olhoffer will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Macintosh closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Olhoffer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Macintosh on the ground.
Macintosh tries to pass to full mount but Olhoffer defends it.
Macintosh seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Olhoffer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Macintosh thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Olhoffer's head.
Macintosh looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Macintosh seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Olhoffer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Macintosh is taking a breather. Olhoffer says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Bud Macintosh has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Macintosh shoots in for a takedown but Olhoffer shows good takedown defense.

Macintosh closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Macintosh content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Macintosh stalling away here and it's allowed Olhoffer to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Olhoffer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Macintosh seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bud Macintosh was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Macintosh darts in looking for a takedown but Olhoffer gets double underhooks and turns Macintosh into the cage.

Ray Olhoffer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bud Macintosh.
Olhoffer wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Bud Macintosh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Macintosh shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Olhoffer but Olhoffer pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Macintosh is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Olhoffer is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Olhoffer has escaped and now he's on top!
Macintosh seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Macintosh bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Olhoffer's guard.
Macintosh is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Olhoffer manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Macintosh regains half guard.
Macintosh moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Macintosh has his foot on Olhoffer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Olhoffer works his way back into a safe position though.
Macintosh is pulling down on Olhoffer's head. It's preventing any offense from Olhoffer, at least for the moment.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Macintosh. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bud Macintosh.

Macintosh fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Olhoffer to the ground. Macintosh is now in Olhoffer's guard.
Macintosh stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Olhoffer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bud Macintosh is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
