Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hellson Ballswick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pepe LePew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). LePew has chosen Smoke Serpent- as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Hellson Ballswick has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Hellson Ballswick seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LePew keeps Ballswick at a distance using the push kick.
Hellson Ballswick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ballswick looks to score with a jab to the body but LePew is just out of range.
Ballswick misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from LePew.
Ballswick catches LePew with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ballswick keeping moving, preventing LePew from controlling successfully.

LePew slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
LePew told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
LePew stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ballswick swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ballswick wants to lay and pray for a moment but LePew keeps working.
LePew is looking for a sweep.
Ballswick wants to control but LePew is keeping him busy.
LePew is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Ballswick is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. LePew knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Ballswick is keen to just control but LePew is a slippery customer.
Ballswick tries to pass to full mount but LePew defends it.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ballswick wants to work for an arm triangle but LePew is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
LePew wants to improve his position but Ballswick is controlling well.
Ballswick seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Ballswick uses his free foot to push down on LePew's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for LePew.

Ballswick decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

LePew has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Ballswick should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, LePew has tightened it up now! Ballswick should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
