The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parayan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mendoza manages to avoid it.
Mendoza shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Parayan as he avoids it easily.
Luis Mendoza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Parayan is pushing Mendoza's head away, looking to escape. Mendoza manages to hold on to the position though.

Parayan felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Parayan moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Luis Mendoza has been cut.
Parayan walks into a left hand.
Mendoza closes this distance looking for a takedown but Parayan circles away.
Parayan leaves Mendoza with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Parayan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Parayan smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Parayan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mendoza circles away quickly and effectively.

Mendoza clobbers Parayan with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Mendoza misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Mendoza shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Parayan defends it nicely.

Mendoza scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Mendoza lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nice shot lands for Parayan.
Oh Mendoza is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Parayan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mendoza leaves his chin hanging out and Parayan seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Mendoza crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
