Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Travis Meyers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bob Fynn! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fynn shoots for a double leg takedown but Meyers sprawls well. He's pushed Fynn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Meyers throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Fynn has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Fynn displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Meyers throws out the jab. Fynn misses with a takedown attempt - Meyers sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Fynn closes the distance and clinches up with Meyers, looking for a takedown. Fynn pushes Meyers against the cage but Meyers circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Travis Meyers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Fynn. Meyers misses with a looping right. Meyers avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fynn fails with a takedown attempt. Fynn looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Meyers is fending him off so far but Fynn persists. Nope, Meyers circles away and we're back to standing. Fynn lands a nice shot that snaps Meyers's head back.
Fynn shoots in looking for a takedown but Meyers manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Fynn's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Fynn closes the distance and pushes Meyers back into the cage. Meyers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Meyers throws an overhand right that lands on Fynn's shoulder, as Fynn tries to avoid the shot. Meyers swings widly with a right hand
and Fynn counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Meyers lands a jab to the nose.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fynn tries for a takedown but Meyers sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Fynn tries to close the distance and clinch but Meyers swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Nice sprawl there from Meyers as Fynn shoots in. A jab from Meyers misses. Fynn walks into a jab.
It looks like Bob Fynn has been cut. Meyers throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Meyers misses with a right hand and Fynn counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Fynn dives in and grabs Meyers's left leg, looking for a takedown. Meyers pushes down on Fynn's head and hops out. Meyers throws a jab but it's blocked by Fynn. Meyers misses with an uppercut
and Fynn counters with a nice uppercut. Meyers lunges at Fynn with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Fynn's hand. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Meyers throws a poor cross that misses
and Fynn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Fynn has a takedown stuffed. Fynn uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Meyers. Fynn takes one to the chin there. Fynn ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Meyers throws a looping overhand right but Fynn ducks down to avoid it. Fynn is rocked! Meyers loads up on a big right hand but Fynn slips the punch. Fynn is still on wobbly legs! Can Meyers finish him? Fynn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Meyers as he jumps to the side. Fynn seems to have recovered his senses. No luck for Fynn with that takedown attempt. Meyers throws a jab when Fynn was well out of range. Meyers throws a lazy uppercut
letting Fynn counter with a right hand. Meyers throws a shot from downtown. Fynn moves away and avoids it. Fynn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Meyers's waist but Meyers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fynn off to one side. Meyers cracks Fynn with a right hand to the side of the head. Travis Meyers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Meyers rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Fynn counter with a right hand. Fynn moves into the clinch. Fynn misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A head punch on the inside from Fynn fails to land. Fynn throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Meyers blocks it with crossed arms. Meyers is looking to break free of the clinch but Fynn has double underhooks. Fynn drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Meyers gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Meyers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Fynn slips under a jab from Meyers. Meyers looks to throw the jab but Fynn is out of range. Meyers lands a big right hand that sends Fynn crashing to the mat! Meyers stays standing though and waves Fynn back to his feet! This has been an exciting period of action! Fynn slips under a jab from Meyers. Fynn goes for a double leg but Meyers avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Meyers continues to drive forward. Meyers is looking to break free of the clinch but Fynn has double underhooks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Meyers tries to break free but Fynn pushes him back against the cage. Fynn wants a takedown but no success here.

Meyers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Meyers is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Fynn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Meyers swivels and escapes. Meyers throws a hook to the side of Fynn's head but Fynn sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Meyers throws a poor cross that misses
and Fynn counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Meyers wants to break free but Fynn has control.
Meyers is pressed up against the cage. Fynn has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Meyers down to the mat. Meyers avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Fynn is trying desperately to land a takedown but Meyers is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Fynn. Fynn looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Meyers throws an overhand right that lands on Fynn's shoulder, as Fynn tries to avoid the shot. Fynn blocks a jab. Fynn tries for a takedown but Meyers circles away easily and Meyers counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Travis Meyers dominated that round. The cut man is working on Bob Fynn's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Meyers lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Fynn falls backwards - clearly groggy! Meyers dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
