Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Booker Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin Smythe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Booker Wright! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marvin Smythe! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck with that takedown attempt from Wright. Wright closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Smythe looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Smythe is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Wright gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Smythe has Wright pressed against the cage, preventing Wright from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Wright keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Smythe's efforts to push away. Smythe fails to pull the fight into his guard.
The referee calls for Smythe to work.
Wright tries to break free but Smythe pushes him back against the cage. Smythe tries to score a body lock takedown but Wright shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Booker Wright has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marvin Smythe.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wright lands with a short head shot on the inside. Wright really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Smythe is looking to take this one to the mat. Smythe taking a breather. Wright breaks the clinch.
Wright shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Smythe counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Smythe. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Smythe trying to control the position from guard on top but Wright is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wright not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Wright keeping full guard, as Smythe tries to pass. Wright will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Smythe stopping the sweep attempt from Wright.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smythe showing good wrestling skills to control the position. This has been an exciting period of action!
The ref stands the fighters back up. Booker Wright wasn't doing enough on the ground. Smythe fails to land with a series of punches.
Smythe moves into the clinch. Wright has had enough of the clinch but Smythe keeps him there for the moment. Smythe is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Wright to keep the fight standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smythe is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Wright is defending well. Wright misses with the head strike.
Wright has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Smythe tries to break the clinch but Wright is controlling the position. Smythe is trying to stall.
Smythe wants to take the fight to the mat but Wright manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Wright gets through Smythe's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Smythe tries to pull guard but Wright holds him up against the cage and eventually Smythe drops back down to his feet.
Smythe jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wright walks away with a smile on his face. Smythe gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Smythe looks winded! Wright misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smythe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wright's waist but Wright gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smythe off to one side. Smythe slaps away a takedown attempt from Wright, before circling back to the center of the mat. Smythe moves into range and clinches up with Wright. Smythe throws an elbow that misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wright breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wright shoots in for a takedown but Smythe shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Smythe swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Wright counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marvin Smythe dominated that round. The cut man is working on Booker Wright's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Wright manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Smythe on his heels. He'll look to pass Smythe's guard now, I'm sure. Smythe wriggles free and stands up. Wright fails with the takedown and Smythe counters with a single leg into guard. Wright didn't expect that. Smythe trying to control the position from guard on top but Wright is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Smythe is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Wright is pulling down on Smythe's head. It's preventing any offense from Smythe, at least for the moment. Smythe trying to control but Wright is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Wright lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Smythe! Smythe is trying desperately to improve position. Smythe is breathing heavily. Wright goes for an armbar but Smythe turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Smythe. Wright is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wright is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Smythe has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wright is proving hard to escape from. Wright keeping moving, preventing Smythe from controlling successfully. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Smythe's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wright wants to sweep but no luck. Smythe engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Wright trying to control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Smythe has his takedown stuffed and Wright counters with a body kick. Smythe misses with a takedown attempt - Wright sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Booker Wright is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Smythe stuffs the takedown attempt from Wright. Wright gets slowly back to his feet. Smythe throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Wright counters with an outside leg kick.
Wright is trying hard to land a takedown here. Smythe sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Booker Wright. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wright closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Smythe's guard. Wright is looking to work some ground and pound but Smythe has wrist control. Wright has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Wright with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Wright drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Smythe dives on top into guard. Wright is adopting a defensive guard. Smythe not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wright trying to control the position here. A close second round but Marvin Smythe will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Booker Wright's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Smythe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Smythe wants it to stay on the feet. Smythe looks for a takedown but Wright sprawls well. Smythe shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wright as he avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smythe has closed the distance and engaged Wright in a clinch.

Smythe avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Smythe is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Wright knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Smythe on the ground. Wright throws a strike but Smythe rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Wright wants to get back to his feet but Smythe is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Smythe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Smythe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Smythe wants to pass the guard but Wright is keeping the position. Wright wants to control but Smythe passes easily into half guard.
Smythe passes to full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smythe lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Smythe avoids the attempt from Wright to control. Marvin Smythe has got the better of the ground game so far. Smythe wants to control the pace but Wright is squirming around nicely. Wright keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Smythe landing strikes from the mount and Wright is in trouble! Smythe goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Wright turns into him and now he's in Smythe's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wright pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Smythe is keeping the position for now. Smythe throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Wright's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Wright throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Smythe works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Smythe utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Wright with a flurry of punches that miss. Booker Wright has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Marvin Smythe is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Smythe manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Marvin Smythe. I've got Smythe winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
