Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Christopher McCormick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amun Ra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McCormick comes into the arena with Shipping up to Boston blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Christopher McCormick! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Amun Ra! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ra tries to bum rush McCormick with a series of wild strikes but McCormick uses good footwork to avoid the assault. McCormick throws a lazy right hand but Ra sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. McCormick lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Ra needs to keep his hands up - McCormick had a free shot at his head there. McCormick misses with a low kick. A big left from Ra misses. McCormick moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. McCormick clinches up against the cage. McCormick prevents a takedown attempt there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McCormick lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ra backwards.
Ra is rocked! Ra blocks an uppercut.
Ra is still on wobbly legs! Can McCormick finish him? Ra blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Ra tries for a takedown. No joy.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. McCormick misses with a hook from the clinch. McCormick throws a head punch that misses. Ra wants to break the clinch but can't.

Ra wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. McCormick swings away with an uppercut that misses.

McCormick throws a punch but it's blocked by Ra. Ra wants to take the fight to the mat but McCormick manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Christopher McCormick has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Amun Ra. McCormick is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ra is just too persistent for him and manages to trip McCormick to the mat. McCormick regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. McCormick is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. McCormick looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ra is one step ahead there. Ra seems to have recovered his senses. Ra wants to control from the top but McCormick keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCormick is trying to control the position from the bottom.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as McCormick holds on and takes a little breather. Ra trying to control but McCormick is working from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ra looks to score with a jab to the body but McCormick is just out of range. McCormick throws a big shot that misses. McCormick jabs at Ra's body. Ra takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Jab, jab by Ra - just one landing. Ra on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by McCormick. McCormick obviously looking to wear him down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McCormick is looking to slow Ra down with leg kicks. This has been an exciting period of action! McCormick is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Christopher McCormick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McCormick ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ra moves away. McCormick throws an off balance right hand
and Ra decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McCormick's guard. McCormick keeping moving, preventing Ra from controlling successfully. Ra throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. McCormick manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
McCormick takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCormick can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ra is looking to escape. Ra is wriggling around trying to escape.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. McCormick controlling the position easily from mount. McCormick looking to control but Ra is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ra keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
McCormick controlling his opponent. McCormick wants to control but Ra has made it back to half guard. Nice work. Ra is staying active underneath McCormick, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
We're going to have a standup here because Christopher McCormick wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. McCormick misses the shot to the body. McCormick wants to clinch and Ra counters with a nice double leg into side control. McCormick won't be happy with that. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Christopher McCormick will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
McCormick swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McCormick is looking to score with low kicks. McCormick buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Ra ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McCormick moves away. Ra moves out of range of the body kick. Ra moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
McCormick is rocked! Ra shoots in for a takedown. He's got it... He's hoisted his opponent over his head and is carrying him over to the other end of the mat. The crowd roars in approval and Ra slams his opponent to the mat. OH, that is naaaaaasty! He's out! Ra lands a punch to his unconscious victim for good measure before the ref has time to call the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Amun Ra! Amun Ra is the new lightweight champion! Christopher McCormick was interviewed post fight and said 'I'm sorry to my friends and family I came out here and gave it my best the part on a good show and wIn.I know I came up a little short I would love a rematch but will fight anybody I'll be back the next time I'll get The win'.
