Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chad Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyson Phillips will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Dixon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyson Phillips! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phillips gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dixon counters by moving into the clinch. Phillips is trying to push Dixon away but Dixon has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Dixon avoiding damage.
Phillips tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Phillips is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Dixon to keep the fight standing. Chad Dixon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Phillips. Dixon decides to pull guard. Dixon looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Phillips trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Dixon striking off his back, scoring a few points. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dixon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Phillips's guard. Dixon stands up from Phillips's guard - Dixon perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Phillips moves into the clinch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Dixon. Dixon has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Phillips uses from the top position. Dixon controlling Phillips's posture. Phillips won't allow Dixon to sweep him here. Phillips wants to control from the top but Dixon keeps moving. Phillips's corner is telling him to maintain position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Dixon trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dixon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Phillips doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Phillips manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Phillips trying to control the position from guard on top but Dixon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dixon looking for a sweep. Not yet Dixon, not yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Phillips looking to sit in guard and control but Dixon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. This has been an exciting period of action! Phillips is trying to hold Dixon in close to prevent damage but Dixon has managed to pass into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dixon is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Phillips pushes Dixon off looking to stand but Dixon dives back in and keeps control.
Dixon decides to stand and escape the position. Phillips closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dixon circles away. Phillips looks winded! Phillips with a poor takedown and Dixon counters by clinching up. Dixon keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Phillips's efforts to push away. Dixon is trying to trip Phillips. He has hold of a leg but Phillips is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Dixon persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Phillips has an active guard here but Dixon has managed to pass into half guard.
Dixon stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Phillips to get to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dixon is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Phillips's half guard. Dixon working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Phillips wants to control but Dixon is keeping busy.
Dixon slows the pace down in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chad Dixon dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Phillips dodges the punch combination from Dixon.
Phillips fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dixon, pushing him back against the cage. Dixon has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Phillips avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Phillips is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Phillips's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Tyson Phillips seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Phillips shoots and misses and Dixon counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Phillips really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dixon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dixon controlling the action here. Dixon is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Phillips is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dixon stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Phillips to get to his feet. Phillips throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dixon's waist but Dixon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Phillips off to one side. Chad Dixon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Phillips. Dixon closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Phillips did well to prevent Dixon getting side control. Dixon winds up and cracks Phillips with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Phillips taking some punishment here, with Dixon in his half guard. Dixon content to control rather than advance. Dixon wants to work for an arm triangle but Phillips is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dixon connects with a nice short shot to Phillips's temple. Dixon is trying for a kimura here. Phillips looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Dixon wins by kimura!
