Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ands Ono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Strange Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ands Ono!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Strange Man!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ono cracks a nice hook into Man's ribs.
Ono misses the shot to the body.
Man takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ono tries to close the distance and clinch up but Man swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ono tries to clinch but Man moves away
and Man counters with a lovely straight right hand!


It looks like Ands Ono has been cut.
Man misses with a hook.
Some wild striking there from Ono.
Man displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ono.
Ono throws a series of punches but Man avoids them all with ease.
Ono tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Man manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ono wants to clinch
and Man counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Strange Man is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ono lands with a right hand.
Ono fails to land with a series of punches.
Man tries to clinch up.
Nice shot by Ono.
Ono will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Man staying out of range there.
Man takes a swing at Ono's ribcage but misses.
Ono misses with a few strikes there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ono throws a jab when Man was well out of range.
Ono lands a jab-cross combination.
Ono definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Man misses with a left hand

and Ono counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Man!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Man wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Man tries to improve position but can't.
Man takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Ono tries to score with some ground and pound. Man controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Ono wants to lay and pray for a moment but Man keeps working.
Ono with the ground and pound but Man regains half guard under the barage of strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Man makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Man.
Ono wants to control from the top but Man keeps moving.
Man is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Ono trying to control but Man is working from the bottom.
Man looking for a sweep. Not yet Man, not yet.
Ono is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Man controlling the position.

Ands Ono has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Ono looks for a takedown but Man sprawls well.
Ono jabs Man to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A jab from Ono finds it's way through Man's defenses.
Ono works Man's body with a nice hook.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ono moves out of range as Man strikes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ono doesn't manage to clinch there - Man circles away.
Man thows a body shot but no joy.
Man throws a lazy uppercut
and Ono counters with a series of strikes. Man will be more careful next time no doubt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ands Ono dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ands Ono's cut.
That's time! Ono's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Ono is looking to clinch.
Ono lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Man circles away quickly and effectively.
Ono misses with a two punch combination.

Man gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.


Man is rocked!
Ono controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Ono content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Man is still in real trouble! Can Ono finish him?
Ono gets to his feet and stands over Man, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Man felt that one! Ono unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Man from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ands Ono!
Ands Ono decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
