Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Percy Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iron Mike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Percy Duncan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Iron Mike!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duncan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Duncan swats away the attempt to clinch by Mike.

Duncan takes the fight into the clinch.
Duncan is trying to pull guard but Mike has him pressed against the cage.
Duncan tries to pull guard but Mike holds him up against the cage and eventually Duncan drops back down to his feet.
Duncan fails to pull guard.

Mike escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Duncan is looking to clinch but Mike is avoiding it.
Duncan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Mike rushes Duncan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mike prevents the takedown attempt.
Duncan fails to pull guard.
Duncan is trying to break the clinch but Mike has him pressed against the cage.

Mike escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Duncan is looking to clinch but Mike is avoiding it.
Mike avoids a punch combination nicely.

Mike gets a double leg takedown into Duncan's guard.
Mike wants to stand but Duncan has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Duncan pulls Mike in to control the position.
Duncan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We're going to have a standup here because Percy Duncan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mike.

Mike closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Duncan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mike wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Duncan is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Mike asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Mike wants to stand but Duncan is controlling his arm.
Duncan sneaks back into half guard.
Duncan wants to get back to his feet.

Duncan gets back to full guard.
Duncan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mike is one step ahead there.
Duncan pulls Mike in close to his closed guard and prevents Mike from doing any damage or advancing position.

Mike wants to stand and escape but instead Duncan has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mike wants to stand but Duncan is controlling the position.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Duncan moves out of range of the body kick from Mike.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A lazy body kick from Mike
and Duncan counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Mike is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Mike tries to close the distance and clinch but Duncan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Duncan misses with a double jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Percy Duncan will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Mike shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Duncan slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Duncan is adopting a defensive guard.
Mike wants to stand but Duncan is controlling his posture from full guard.
Iron Mike has got the better of the ground game so far.
Mike wants to stand and escape but instead Duncan has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Duncan throws a big elbow that misses.

Duncan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Mike has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Duncan has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Mike pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mike tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Mike fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mike is breathing heavily.
Duncan throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Iron Mike seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mike misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mike tries to close the distance and clinch but Duncan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Percy Duncan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mike looks to land a body kick but Duncan moved away.
Duncan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Mike pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Duncan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mike is looking to clinch but Duncan is avoiding it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Duncan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Duncan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Duncan tries to pull guard but Mike won't allow it.

Duncan throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Mike.

The fight stays on the outside here - Mike looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Iron Mike showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Duncan is trying to control Mike's posture but Mike avoids it.
Mike tries to get to his feet but Duncan is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Mike in his guard.

Mike decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Duncan fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mike.
Mike takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Mike pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Duncan fails to land with a series of punches.

A combination from Mike does no damage.
Duncan misses with a double jab.
Mike throws a wild body kick that Duncan sees coming a mile off.
Duncan misses with a series of wild punches.
Mike moves in looking to clinch but Duncan pushes him off.
Mike is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mike tries to clinch there but Duncan circles away.
Duncan goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Mike fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Duncan to the ground. Mike is now in Duncan's guard.
Duncan has Mike pulled in close to control his posture.

Duncan kicks Mike off and gets to his feet.

Mike misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Duncan cracks Mike with a good jab.
Duncan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sloppy strikes from Duncan. Those never looked like landing.
Duncan misses with a head kick.
Duncan takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mike looks to land a combination but Duncan avoids it well.

A nice leg kick lands there from Mike.

Mike drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Mike tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Duncan manages to work his way to half guard, despite Mike's best efforts.
Mike tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Duncan.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Duncan has his hands clasped together around Mike's back. He's all about the action.
Mike wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Duncan uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Duncan pulls Mike in close to prevent any damage.

And that's the end of the fight!
Iron Mike comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mike has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
