The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves misses with a jab, cross combination.
Alves lands with a nice body kick.
Rodriguez with a lazy takedown attempt
and Alves connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rodriguez fails with the takedown
and Alves counters with a two punch combo.
Rodriguez is rocked!
Alves slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Rodriguez is still on wobbly legs! Can Alves finish him?
Rodriguez gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Alves gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Rodriguez is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

A relieved looking Hector Alves thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
