The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turshatov shoots in looking for a takedown. Tefft tries to sprawl out of it but Turshatov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tefft manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sloppy strikes from Tefft. Those never looked like landing.
Turshatov takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

It looks like Alexey Turshatov has been cut.

Turshatov has managed to clinch.
Turshatov blocks an elbow strike.
Turshatov tries to pull guard but Tefft holds him up against the cage and eventually Turshatov drops back down to his feet.
With the fighters up against the cage, Tefft throws an elbow but misses.
Turshatov fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Will Tefft has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexey Turshatov.
Tefft swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Turshatov tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tefft just stands there and leans against the cage.
Turshatov jumps guard but Tefft stands there with Turshatov around his waist. Turshatov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Turshatov is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Tefft to keep the fight standing.

Turshatov drags the fight down to the ground.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Tefft has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Turshatov is proving hard to escape from.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Tefft has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Turshatov to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Tefft is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Turshatov pulls down on the head and he's put Tefft to sleep! This one is all over!
