Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cian McGarrity (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Fall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGarrity comes to the cage accompanied by Irish Fighting Song - We Come in Pieces. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGarrity looks to score with a jab to the body but Fall is just out of range.
McGarrity throws a head kick but Fall moves out of range.

McGarrity fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fall manages to avoid it.
McGarrity throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McGarrity bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Fall takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
McGarrity misses with a body kick.
Fall throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McGarrity.
Fall takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Fall shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McGarrity sprawls well. McGarrity wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fall gets slowly back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fall shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McGarrity's guard.

Fall is trying to defend against the ground and pound but McGarrity scores with a couple of nice shots.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fall is staying active underneath McGarrity, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
McGarrity throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

No joy there for McGarrity, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fall shoots in looking for a takedown. McGarrity tries to sprawl out of it but Fall keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McGarrity manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cian McGarrity has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Fall.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Fall sizes up McGarrity with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

That was a close round but I would say that Cian McGarrity will probably get the nod.

McGarrity walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Fall drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! McGarrity swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Fall's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
