Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hideo Kono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ksawery Koltun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hideo Kono! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Ksawery Koltun! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kono circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kono just misses with a punch to the body.
Kono looks to score with a jab to the body but Koltun is just out of range. Kono pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kono misses with a wild body shot. Koltun throws an overhand right that lands on Kono's shoulder, as Kono tries to avoid the shot. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Koltun has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Kono takes one to the side of the head.
Kono will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That sent Koltun stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kono defending well as Koltun loads up on a big left hand. Kono looks to land a right hand but Koltun moved out of range. Kono pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kono throws a sloppy head kick and Koltun moves out of range easily. Koltun tries to close the distance and clinch but Kono swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Kono throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Kono is looking to stand up but Koltun isn't so interested in that idea. Koltun trying to control but Kono is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Koltun looking to pass the guard. Kono keeping moving, preventing Koltun from controlling successfully. Koltun throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Koltun missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Koltun tries to free his leg and advance position but Kono is retaining full guard. Koltun won't allow Kono to get back to his feet. Koltun trying to control but Kono is working from the bottom.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ksawery Koltun wasn't active enough on the ground. Koltun throws a lazy uppercut
and Kono counters with a left to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Hideo Kono will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Koltun throws a sloppy head kick and Kono moves out of range easily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Koltun is looking to clinch but Kono is avoiding it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Koltun is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kono is keeping busy. Kono trying to stall but Koltun improves his position.

Koltun uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kono.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Koltun takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Kono misses with a looping right. Kono thows a body shot but no joy. Kono throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Koltun tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kono manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kono bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Kono walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Koltun misses with a straight left. Kono is looking to chop away at Koltun's legs. Ksawery Koltun has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kono moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kono cracks a nice hook into Koltun's ribs. Oh Kono is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Koltun connects with a right that clearly hurt Kono. He's backed up against the cage with nowhere to go as Koltun proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Kono collapses and taps out under the pressure!
