Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Red Mike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remmy Shultz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Red Mike!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Remmy Shultz!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mike tries to clinch but Shultz moves away

and Shultz moves into the clinch.

Shultz has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Mike clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Mike has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Mike looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Mike tries to escape but Shultz has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Shultz trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Mike doesn't escape.
Mike is trying to get back to his feet but Shultz has full control of the position and if anything, Mike has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Shultz is working hard for the rear naked choke here.

Mike is trying to break free.

Shultz has got his arm under Mike's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Mike has spun round into Shultz's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
Shultz is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Mike trying to control but Shultz is working from the bottom.
Mike throwing strikes from guard but Shultz blocks nicely.

Mike drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mike jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Mike stopping the sweep attempt from Shultz.
Mike advances position into side control!
Shultz is looking to reverse the position.
Shultz looking for a sweep but Mike has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Mike working for a guillotine from mount but Shultz is in no mood to give up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mike tries to control but Shultz wriggling away.

Shultz can't escape the position.
Mike scoring with strikes but Shultz is staying in there.
Shultz keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Shultz is squirming around, avoiding Mike's attempts to control the action.
Mike scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Shultz?
Shultz tries to hold on but Mike postures up.

Mike controlling the pace for now.

Mike looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Mike fails to advance to Shultz's back.
Mike trying to control but Shultz is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Mike is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Shultz has managed to escape the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Red Mike dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Shultz wants to slow Mike down by chopping away at his legs.
Mike really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Mike throws a shot from downtown. Shultz moves away and avoids it.
Mike dives in for a single leg takedown but Shultz sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Shultz pulls Mike into guard.
Shultz is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Mike trying to control the position from guard on top but Shultz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mike is really struggling to control Shultz but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Mike will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mike tries to free his leg and advance position but Shultz is retaining full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shultz can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Mike would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Mike prevents Shultz from getting back to his feet.

Red Mike has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Mike tries to clinch there but Shultz circles away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Shultz. Mike does a little dance to reset his feet.
A combination from Shultz does no damage.
Shultz looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Shultz scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Mike trying to hold on to Shultz's head to control him but Shultz postures up.
Shultz is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Shultz wanted to stand there but Mike had control of the position.
Shultz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mike. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Shultz wants to pass the guard but Mike is keeping the position.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Shultz.
Mike is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Shultz's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Mike looks like he's trying to stand up.
Shultz prevents Mike from improving his position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Red Mike just wasn't active enough.

Shultz throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mike tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Shultz is in Mike's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Remmy Shultz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Shultz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Shultz wants it to stay on the feet.
Shultz shoots in and drives through. Mike sprawls well.

Shultz shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mike manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Shultz is looking to advance position but Mike has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Mike wants to control the pace but Shultz is squirming around nicely.

Mike thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Shultz slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Shultz wants to control but Mike is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Shultz preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Mike moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Shultz.

Shultz gets back to half guard.
Mike seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Shultz is not content to let Mike control the position.
Mike trying to control from Shultz's half guard. Shultz has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Shultz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mike gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Shultz looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Shultz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Mike trying to control but Shultz is working from the bottom.
Shultz pulls Mike in close to his closed guard and prevents Mike from doing any damage or advancing position.

Remmy Shultz has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Shultz tries to clinch but Mike is having none of it.
Mike moves in looking to clinch but Shultz pushes him off.
Shultz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mike circles away quickly and effectively.

Shultz closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Mike is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Shultz gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Shultz manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Mike trying to stand up but can't free himself from Shultz's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Shultz keeping moving, preventing Mike from controlling successfully.

Remmy Shultz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Shultz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
