Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ian Boxhorn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hank Redford!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Josh West and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Boxhorn. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Boxhorn.
Boxhorn with a nice cross.
Boxhorn's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Boxhorn duly obliges.
Boxhorn lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Boxhorn uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Redford has time to react.
Redford takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Boxhorn with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Boxhorn does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Boxhorn takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Redford shoots and misses
and Boxhorn counters with a left and a right that stings Redford.
Boxhorn dips to his left and cracks Redford with an uppercut!
Redford with a lazy takedown attempt
and Boxhorn counters with a left to the body.
Boxhorn throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Boxhorn darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Redford tries for a takedown but Boxhorn circles away easily
and Boxhorn counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ian Boxhorn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hank Redford.

Redford looks winded!

Redford takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Boxhorn lands with a hook. Redford tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Boxhorn takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Hank Redford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boxhorn connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Redford is still on wobbly legs! Can Boxhorn finish him?
Boxhorn connects with a crisp jab.

Redford seems to have recovered his senses.

Oooooh!!! Boxhorn has knocked Redford down with a huge combo! Boxhorn steps away and waves a wobbly Redford back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Boxhorn gets caught flat footed, as Redford shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Redford is looking to work some ground and pound but Boxhorn has wrist control.
Redford trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Boxhorn holds on and takes a little breather.

Redford slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Redford is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Boxhorn has escaped the position, nice work there.

Redford thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Redford is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Boxhorn looks calm but he's in trouble here. Redford gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Boxhorn is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Redford lets go of the hold and Boxhorn can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Hank Redford!
A relieved looking Hank Redford thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
