Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paul Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Smith might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to call to prayer. Robinson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Redemption!!! from the movie Rocky II. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robinson drops Smith with a left and a right! Oh, Smith is hurt - Robinson dives into side control looking to finish!
It looks like Paul Smith has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Smith stops Robinson from passing to mount.
Smith is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Robinson off and has taken his back!

Smith throws a nice inside leg kick.
Roy Robinson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Robinson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Robinson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Smith is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Robinson frees his head nicely. Oh but Smith has switched to an armbar! Robinson is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
