Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Johnnie Flowers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcel Adur!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adur throws a sloppy head kick and Flowers moves out of range easily.

It looks like Johnnie Flowers has been cut.

Adur wants to take a breather but Flowers manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Adur.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Adur is fighting to break Flowers's control of his arms but Flowers is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Flowers shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Flowers showed some decent athleticism there.
Adur has hold of Flowers's hands but Flowers slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Flowers stands up and beckons Adur to join him on the feet.

Adur shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Flowers's guard.
Flowers wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Johnnie Flowers just wasn't active enough.

Adur drives through with a takedown into Flowers's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Adur changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Flowers looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Adur has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Flowers is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Adur.
The referee asks Flowers politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Flowers prefers to stall for the moment though.
