The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tanaka sprawls well. Tanaka wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.

and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Johnson is nestled in close to Tanaka, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
