The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smit fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rigo shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Smit's guard. Smit can't keep his opponent in guard - Rigo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Smit wants to get back to his feet.
Rigo seems to be working for a kimura but Smit defends the submission attempt. Rigo is trying for a kimura here. Smit looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Rigo wins by kimura!
